Hi! I am writing for two reasons. The first one is to say how wonderful the play was at the high school! I was honored to be able to watch the play last night with my family and it was amazing! It truly sounded and looked like a broadway show! This just goes to show that Winslow has so much talent yet know one ever hears about it!
Secondly, I am writing to remind everyone that tomorrow night the board of education is having a "special meeting". This meeting is to interview the final 3 candidates for superintendent. It is open to the public but not many people know about it. It begins at 6:30pm at the middle school. The sad part about this is that they are only doing this (trying to hire someone) so THEY can have the say before the election. There are 4 seats up and if they were an honest board (I don't mean all of them) they would wait until the election and let those 4 new people be involved in the hiring. We need to keep in mind that we needed a superintendent since JULY! We have had these candidates since January! Why all of a sudden are they "rushing" to hire someone now? What would it hurt to wait a few more weeks? Remember, Dr. Schriner has a contract and we will still have to pay him until June 30th. So why not wait to hire someone? Please come out!
Thanks!
