I agree with the last poster. Big Dan Swirskey can not be hired as Superintendent.
He has a series of yes men in place already. School 6 principal is a big YES man of Dan's.
There is no ZERO tolerence with this principal as he caves in to parents in a heart beat.
People of Winslow, wake up. Get rid of the last remains of the past. It's time to rebuild and Swirskey should not be in the blueprint.
School staff mamber and taxpayer.

Subject: Property Tax Proposal

To the overburdened TAXPAYERS of Winslow Township. I proposed for consideration a new improved TAXING CONCEPT which should greatly help the HOMEOWNER and LANDOWNERS in this Township. I sent the concept to Corzine, Mayor, 3 Members of Town Council, District Senators, Senator Sweeney.

Its called PAY WHILE YOU STAY TAX: Everyone renting a home, apartment, condo, or other living space as their residence, should have to pay a tax. Its totally irresponsible for these people to expect TOTAL TOWNSHIP SERVICES, and SCHOOL for their children at the sole expence of the Homeowners and land owners. Its even more unfair for these people to have a voice in LOCAL POLITICS and the SCHOOL SYSTEM when in fact the don't contribute to the system. Its time to level the playing field. If this proposal offends any of the local residents, it wasn't my intention to do so. I only want what I percieve to be a more equitable solution for all. I always had the habit to call things the way I see them. I am not a subscriber to the Political Correct theme. Signed Lifelong Resident.

I was very concerned about the budget deficet and the leadership of the District last year. Through so much of the election and soon after listening to the residents about wanting strict enforcemnet of ZERO tolerence policies, nothing has changed. But the residents at the last BOE meeting who applauded keeping Dr. Swirskey as superintendent have forgotten where we have been. Dr. Swirskey has no intention of enforcing zero tolerence as he was part of the administration that did everything but zero tolerence. Dr. Swirskey has already moved key high school and middle school principals that will not "buck the system" as to what Swirskey decides. Now people want to rush into hiring a superintendent (Swirskey) before school starts. People open your eyes! This District is in dire need of new leadership starting at the top. I do not care how much the district spends on a superintendent search as the old leadership and the problems they continue to ignore need to be changed.

UNofficially Winslow Receives E-mail

The Winslow Board of Education members who were on the Board in September 2005 should and must make a public apology to the residences and to anyone who gave them their support. We as voters place them on the Board because they sated that they were going to watch over the money that we who are hard workers gave our tax dollars. They gave the position of the Business Administrator to someone who did not have our best interest at heart. They did not insure that the checks and balances were done in a timely manner. We paid good money for incompetence and what did we get, our property valves are dropping, our children were forced to do without needed staff and supplies.

There will be a meeting coming up on Aug. 7th the tax payers should go and speak their minds, and let the Board of Education know how they feel.

Are we going to start out another school year with a district that is under staffed? It has been a whole year and yet the district does not have a Superintendent, a Business Administrator and other leadership roles needed. The board keeps going on these searches yet there are people who are right there ready and willing to do the job, who have proven themselves. We must let the members, know that we need a stable environment for our students. It is time to stop playing games and make the appointments. We do not need another school year like last.

There also will be a special meeting to interview two candidates one will be appointed to the Board of Education one who ran in the last election who received the 5th highest votes the other no one has heard of except Mrs. Parker. Get out and let your voices be heard! Should the Board appoint someone who the voters voted for or pick someone they have chosen?
